The Monk is one of the best classes in Diablo 3. Currently it is my favorite class. Moreover, I believe it’s capable of being the most cost-effective character in the game if built right.
Here is my baddass monk guide for Diablo 3. It’s aimed at being an efficient AOE and single target killing machine with No Monster Power or low MP. My monk can handle ~mp7 depending on the monster type, but it took a bit of extra cash to get him there.
I haven’t wrote a post in a LONG TIME… Ever since the release of the game, I’ve either been playing it nonstop or have been trying to recover from the marathon. I’ve logged at least 275 hours in about 3 and a half weeks. I have 5x level 60′s across several account.

Everyone wants to play the most overpowered classes in the beginning of new games. Who wants to be stuck with some broken class that takes more effort and time to advance. There hasn’t been much information regarding the scaling of classes throughout Diablo 3 difficulties (Normal, Nightmare, Hell, Inferno). The only content available on Beta is level 1-13 within one-third of the first act, (out of 4 acts) on the easiest difficulty, normal.
